Via Ferrata #Schlegeis 131
The #Schlegeis 131 Via Ferrata is the only via ferrata of its kind - climbing directly up the dam of the Schlegeis Reservoir. This exciting via ferrata tour begins at the foot of the dam and climbs 131 metres along the dam to its crown. The via ferrata tour is FREE OF CHARGE to all visitors. You are welcome to use your own via ferrata gear; but if you don't have your own equipment, you can also hire safe equipment directly from the rental station on the crown of the dam at the snack bar ('s'Raschtl' ).
Via Ferrata for Famlies, Groups, Beginners & More Experienced People
You start your breathtaking climb at the lowest point of the dam and climb vertically along the curved side of the dam. On reaching the upper third, there is a platform where you can decide whether to continue your climb on the easy route with an A/B level of difficulty; or take the particularly challenging and difficult alternative 'C' route.
The #Schlegeis 131 Via Ferrata is 131 metres high and the finish at the top of the dam offers stunning views of the Zillertal Mountains. The total distance you have to cover is approx. 200 metres. The via ferrata is very varied and offers a unique experience not just for beginners, but also for families, groups and experienced adventurers.
